“The LORD appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” Jeremiah 31:3 ESV
Love is patient.
Love is kind.
It does not envy.
Nor does it boast.
Nor is it proud.
Love does not dishonor others.
It is not self-seeking.
It does not become easily angered.
It keeps no records of wrong.
Love does not delight in evil.
It rejoices in the truth.
It protects.
It trusts.
It hopes.
It perseveres.
Love never fails.
This is what we should think of when we hear the word “love” - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love, according to the dictionary, is a noun defined as an intense feeling of deep affection.
Love can seem like a fleeting thing. With divorce at an all time high, break-up’s happening left & right, and the fire you had with your partner feels like it is being extinguished with life challenges, love can be the last thing on ones mind.
Many people do not enjoy this month. February can come with past memories that we wish not to revisit. Heartbreak, false hope, or singleness can make this month feel lonely.
But look at it this way.
You are loved. Yes, you are loved.
You may not feel it, but believe me; YOU. ARE. LOVED.
It doesn’t matter who you are.
It doesn’t matter what you have done.
It doesn’t matter if there are people in your life that do not love you.
You have a heavenly father that loves you to the ends of this earth.
He knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb.
He knows how many hairs are on our heads.
He knows our past, our present & our futures.
He will love us beyond our last breath.
Some may say it is an everlasting love.
A love more permanent than gold.
This love can only come from God.
Take rest in this knowledge.
That you have a father who loves you.
Forever.
Before & beyond time.
Love,
